Tips to Spray Tanning with CelebrityTan
We provide plenty of application information and tips with the CelebrityTan products. Spray tanning takes practice to achieve a perfect result. Professional technicians are well trained in this, and you will need to practise to master the techniques.
It is not hard to master the 'Spray Tanning' techniques.
Do not attempt to spray our sunless solutions onto a body without
becoming fully used to using your spray equipment. Our quality sunless
solutions are much stronger than typical 'retail' shop solutions, and it
is very important they are applied correctly. You should fill your spray
equipment with plain water and practise first getting used to adjusting
the spray to a fine mist, and perfecting the spray distance and
movements to ensure a light and even application. We provide plenty of
assistance and recommendations when you purchase our HVLP Spray unit,
plus will assist with telephone support if necessary.
The body must be prepared first. The better the
preparation, the better the result. Clean skin tans best. Take time to exfoliate and remove
all the dead skin cells prior to
application. Take special care of areas where solution is likely to
'grab' such as feet, knees and elbows. Removing the dead skin cells
before application will provide a smoother surface and delay the natural
loss of tan. You may see patchy areas if you haven't exfoliated well
beforehand.
For best results, we
highly recommend you use our CelebrityTan pH balanced cleanser "PreTan".
This is especially important in commercial situations, but is equally
effective for home use as it will pH balance the skin to the optimum
level for best results from the active ingredients in the sunless
tanning solutions. (See our 'Solutions' page for more info)
Remove all make-up before your spray
session. It is best not to use any body lotion or cream, perfume,
aftershave or deodorant on the day of your spray.
You can spray with your swim suit or underwear on (if you
like to see the tan lines) or the full body- whatever you prefer. (This
may depend on who is doing the spraying!)
The tanning solution will wash out of most fabrics, but may stain some. (see below) If drips occur dab with a paper towel or tissue. Don't worry, you can come back to the area later and give it another light spray to even it out. After tanning, we recommend you do not shower for at least 6 hours, preferably 8 to 10 hours, or better still overnight. Product will dry in minutes, the bronzer will be immediately obvious, but tanning will take several hours to develop. If you need the solution to dry faster, use the heat setting on our HVLP unit and blow air only or you can use a hair dryer. After tanning, we recommend that you dress in dark, light fitting under garments, swimsuits, shorts and shirts. Tanning solution will wash out of most garments, but may stain silk, nylon, wool and leather. If unsure you should test on a small section first.
To prolong your tan, you should apply
moisturiser daily on the tanned areas. Our CelebrityTan TanX tan
extender and moisturiser is excellent for this, or use your own
favourite skin care products. Also vigorously drying yourself
with a towel is like rubbing or scrubbing your skin and may cause the
tan to fade faster. You should pad the skin dry after bathing or
showering.
